I’m Janine, and quite simply put, I am passionate about what I do. My love affair with photography has spanned several decades, and has taken me from university studies to photography teaching, before concentrating on full time professional photography work. I have a degree in Communication Studies and am a fully accredited member of the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography)
It is a love affair that has grown stronger with time. I have always been humbled and awed at the power of photography to capture those fleeting, tiny moments that speak volumes about bonds, relationships, emotions…and commit them to lasting memory.
I love that I am present at the most pivotal and fundamental moments of my clients’ lives. Their engagement, their wedding, their pregnancy, the first weeks of their newborn’s life, their growing families….and on into the generations. I aim to capture honest, heartfelt and soulful images, that tell the story of each of these milestones, to provide a family history that is moving and real.
I am a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend…many things to many people, and I have experienced the pain and sadness of loss in a way that has hammered home to me how important it is to capture and document these times in your family. Or more to the point, these times with your family. It is never too soon, too late, too fat, too wet…. These are the days. Embrace them, remember them.
