What better way to start of a fabulous new year than to capture this beautiful and heartfelt wedding. Savannah is gracious, poised, elegant, generous, warm….the list goes on…and on, and on really! And then you meet Stuart, the Scottish lad with the warm humour and a way of making you feel like you have known him forever, and you just can’t help but feel all is right with the world when two people like this find each other and come together.
Their wedding day was just beautiful, both Annie and I felt privileged to be a part of it. You only had to see the touches they had added to understand the special, caring people they are. Upon entering Frasers we were greeted with the most amazing kids table I’ve ever seen! Popcorn, twisties, lollies, activity booklets made especially, gifts for the flower girls…it was kiddie heaven. Almost. That grand accolade actually belongs to the CANDY BAR!! A perfect, old fashioned candy bar that opened at 3pm, to the eager delight of the kids who quickly scooped the treats into their favour bags.
The reception began with Savannah bringing out party hats, and two fantastic cakes emerged, one for baby William, who shared their wedding day with his first birthday, and one for Savannah’s father, a beautiful clog designed birthday cake in honour of his Dutch ancestry. It seems natural that Savannah and Stuart would begin their own wedding by honouring their family members, that’s just the kind of people they are. And the love and admiration they receive from their friends and family was obvious in the heartfelt speeches, which had me ducking behind my camera on occasion to hide a threatening tear!
From the Burswood for bridal prep shots, to Matilda Bay for the ceremony, up to Frasers for the lunch time reception, then into King Street for some bridal party shots, before heading to the Raffles to meet up with their friends, the day was just perfect…warm, intimate, relaxed and classy all rolled into one. So very them 🙂
Thank you both for sharing your day with us. Enjoy your sneek peaks x
