Something that really stuck in my head after Suzanne and Mick’s wedding last week, was saying our goodbye’s to Suzanne and her saying “now the formal part of the day is over and the fun part is supposed to start…but how can it be any more FUN?’. I loved hearing that, a bride who has totally enjoyed her day so far. It’s something that we strive for, to ensure that the formal photography part of the day does not take the bridal party too far away from the real reason we are there; the celebration of their union. And if Suzanne’s smile was anything to judge by, it was the best day of her life! She was totallly beautiful, and her smile just lit up the room…although, I have a feeling that is Suzanne’s default – grace, charm, and smiles 🙂 They were married at the gorgeous Mercedes College Chapel, where I taught Media for some years (many years ago!) so it was lovely to revisit and see how much the school had changed. Suzanne and Mick are very family orientated, and they added a beautiful touch to their wedding day by cutting their cake right after their ceremony in the Mercedes grounds, to share in the moment with those family members who could not make the reception. The reception was held at Chester’s in the Swan Valley, and after a brief stop at the Deli in West Perth, it is here that we caught some gorgeous sunset shots.
